Searching the archive I came across this which was originally intended to show my home made monopod November 2003

Edit ... perhaps as I look for a reason not to think of 'macro' or as I prefer 'big close-ups', because macro means something else to me as something special, as something special I guess as originally a movie enthusiast and only learning about photography to help that ... I am used to trying to show what I want to show because with movies you cannot crop so I try to find out what my camera will do for me and use it.
Here I wanted to show my 'invention ' to secure the monopod sections with the extra thickness added to give the screw thread something to grip rather than just the Aluminium RHS ....

Taken around the same time as the heading photo.
Then when I wanted to see if I could capture a fly I quietly pushed the camera across the floor with a couple of fingers under the body to raise it to avoid an 'all floor' shot....

These two are both SOOC though I valued my fully flexible LCD right from 2003 when I got the Nikon 5700 bridge camera with its interesting 'macro' setting in mid zoom ... so I am shooting at about 100mm equivalent lens ... A feature I lost when I changed to Panasonic but regained in recent MFT models
