Exterior modern architecture - mixed lighting
This is another shot I took of one of the newer buildings at the local community college. Technically, it was taken during "magic hour", i.e. around an hour before sunset, but with the heavy, textured cloud cover, you would never know.
There are two predominant light sources; the lights in the building and the diffuse natural light of sunset; so I had a choice of either balancing the interior lighting, which gave the exterior a heavy blue colour cast, or balancing for the remaining daylight, and that gave the interior lights a very yellow cast.
The blue was easier to fix as the most noticeable signs were the sky and snow; both are fairly easy to isolate and make more neutral, so that is what I did. I didn't go 100% neutral as some of the exterior had blue overtones, and I wanted things to look "right".

Great lines! The warm tones of the interior very nicely complement the cool tones of the exterior. The reflection of the name of the building is a nice touch.

Well captured Manfred, under difficult lighting, looks like a very cool building!
