    WWII Women Aircraft Mechanics COLORIZATION

    Hi Everybody,

I have a friend on Flickr who's mother was a WWII aircraft mechanic. He had this old black and white photo of her in Norman, Oklahoma Marine Corps training facility that was originally sepia and so I took it and colored it today. I spent a few hours researching the uniform colors and engine paint colors and apparently this is extremely close with a few minor details. I figured I'd share this photo since its really interesting in my opinion. Enjoy!

Looks like they might be adjusting the valves.
Nice work Zak. All these types of photos make WWII come to life in a special way. It wasn't fought in B&W.

Your friend must really like this a lot! His mother was a true Rosie Riveter.

Absolutely, but only if you make up an elaborate story of how we met. There has to be at least one explosion and a muscle car.
