    The first tulips this year

At no time while I was living in Texas did I have a chance to photograph tulips.
When I got outside this morning I was totally excited to see these tulips in my neighbours' front yard.
Went back inside to get the camera, and took a few shots.
The colour of these flowers is gorgeous, I hope I did them justice.

Before the frost comes next year you will be planting tulips for your photographing pleasure too -- right the heart of your garden! This is a nice shot, Kris. Wait till it opens and it will be more a delight getting your camera out just to show its beauty. Lucky neighbour for having Kris and her family living next door...

Very nice Kris, I would crop a tad of the R/H/S to get rid of the white flowers, says he who does not shoot flowers-yet

I actually took shots of the white flowers as well, and I have no idea what those are.

Nice neighbours too----I have permission to traipse through their yard, as long as I have my camera with me....

Hi Kris. I agree with Isabel about waiting a bit till it opens so that we can see the tulips bigger and with more details

I'm waiting - this morning one of the tips opened just a bit.
