Re: Blinded By The Light
Typical scene while one is walking downtown. I was trying to look at each character you have in this shot. I thought there is this guy pushing a wheel chair but on expanding the image, it is a fat lady with a walking stick. There is quite a bit to look in this shot, Jack and I like it...I enjoy the exploration, the sunlight on the hair of some of the ladies too. A group there seems to be absorbed in something and was looking for someone on a cell, but this one is clean of that...Good shot, Jack.. different because it is not a beach scene where the usual kind of sillouette-ing a shot.

Nicely captured, experienced that blinding feeling many times.

Re: Blinded By The Light
Even though this isn't my type of scene, it seems to convey so well that you executed your vision exactly as you planned. I always admire photos that do that.

Re: Blinded By The Light
Thanks Izzie. This was a bit of luck, I had been walking into the sun and was getting discouraged because I knew everything would be harshly back lit. I was actually first blinded by the light but in pulling the brim of my hat down a bit I saw the group. In fact it was exactly the hair harshly back lit that caught my attention. The starburst was serendipitous.

Re: Blinded By The Light
Mike, thanks. I think the hardest thing to do is to be able to constructively comment on an image that one may not be particularly fond of. I find that very difficult (if not impossible) to do. You on the other hand do so effortlessly, making your comments all the more valuable and appreciated.

Thanks Grahame. Look around, there might be things Izzie didn't see, or mention

Re: Blinded By The Light
I like how the composition of this frame requires it to be so dark, but dark in a way that it comes across and a richness in tone. A really well done photo that's worth coming back to.
