I am still looking at your "new" one. Basically I do like the composition better, especially the "full" reflection of buildings and trees. Not so sure about the bridge and the "curving" of the metal construction and the buildings. I try some edits to find out what is not so appealing to my eyes.

I particularly like #2. Personally, I find that a contrail is a distraction in such an image.
