And the top right corner background is a little bit distracting; but in all honesty, we are now comparing this shot against absolute perfection so it is still a very good image.

Nice capture of a fun moment! Consider cropping the bottom just below the big blue thingy to eliminate the problem of wishing we saw the feet. Also consider cropping on the left to create relatively more negative space on the right for the boy to look into.
Your shutter speed of 1/200 is dangerously slow when it comes to stopping the action of a child this age in this type of activity. I would use nothing less than 1/500 in this situation. Notice that the boy's face isn't as sharp as his left hand or his shirt. That's because of the shutter speed not completely stopping the action of his moving head. Even so, in this case you can increase the sharpening to solve the problem without creating artifacts.
