Gorgeous Flamingos - Nature : C & C are welcome

This picture was taken from a boat and flamingos were quite far. I have tried to take ground level shot.

...oh yes. Even I wanted to go closer. For the first time in my life I saw flamingos. They all were in big lot. There was no scope of getting fewer in frame. I have an another shot, which is taken at different place. I will post that one shortly. Thanks for your comment.

No, the second image doesn't work for me with all that out of focus water.

I think you have to lose a bit of sky from the first version then either go wide and narrower or be prepared to lose a bit from the sides as well.

Here's an idea, removed the chopped birds, left and right, quick removal of the power lines, cropped some water and sky. There's no rule that you need to keep to standard crops

Not quite sure about Chauncey's comment? surely the objective of this image is to show the vast number of birds?
