A Spider for Izzie with an Alternative Title "Be afraid"!

Izzie, I hope you don't mind, earlier this morning I commented on your frog and spider thread and suggested that to get spiders head on is a good approach, providing of course that they don't scare you!.

This is an example of one of mine for you. It was taken in 2013 on a bright day so the light is quite harsh. I don't have any others as I haven't got over being this close to this little Miss as she was walking towards me and I was laid on the ground.

Wow! Peter...this is a good clear one. When I was taking the image of mine, my hand was shaking because I have Roxie's leash in my arm and she kept moving trying to move away, so I took some successive shots. I forgot hubby was near me and can hold her leash while I do my work. I won't do that again and I will make sure the correct lens is in my pixel peep camera...I promise I will be better next time...get closer too...I think I am getting the idea anyway...

Thank you for this...I really do appreciate any further training I can get from everyone you and everyone here. I am not scared of spiders, just wasps and snakes.

Me neither Binnur, but... when they decide to come in the house (I hear the screams from SWMBO) I do catch them and return them to the garden

That's a great little fella Peter, he reminds me very much of 'Spike' that modelled for me last year. I'm always worried at the speed they can move.

Not sure of the identity, Peter. Looks a bit like one of the paler Tegenaria species but I wouldn't rule out a rather brownish Agelena labyrinthica although females tend to keep close to their large tube shaped webs. But I suppose it could have been disturbed and is looking to set up a new home elsewhere.

Incidentally, some female Tegenaria can live for a couple of years.
