thank-you. She also had immense patience. First i saw her, went and got the camera. Back to the house. Didn't like what I had shot went back out and she was still there. Hand held macro, super macro and telephoto macro.

You were lucky enough then IMO, the color of the border in #2 doesn't suit the image well Brian, it is also a bit too thick. If you have a color picker tool in your software you can pick a more suitable color from the image (may be from the butterfly) for a border.

I do have a colour picker but of late it doesn't work. it is a bit thick but I really didn't like that white strip and i had tried everything else. But this shot is good enough to give it one more go.

actually the antennae are slightly out of focus but I did get a good dof with a touch of telephoto on the macro setting.

thanks. I got to apply some of the old Renaissance masters techniques to this shot and they do seem to have worked well.
