Welcome to CiC John. What beautiful looking birds. We have a yellow billed spoonbill nut nothing with this glorious colouring. Without blowing out the white details on the birds I would like to see the water lightened a bit to brighten the shot plus a little more sharpening but otherwise a lovely shot.
Keep ‘em coming.
Thanks for commenting Peter - they are a nice looking bird. Shot was taken from the back porch of my house.
Must be a very nice outlook from your porch.
My comments regarding sharpening might just be the process you used when posting. For the web you need to use sRGB not Adobe RGB as the colour space otherwise your shots can look a bit flat. Also when you downsize you often lose some sharpening so you might need to add bit for showing here.
That's very very cute!
Is the horizon intentionally slanted? The kids seem pretty vertical so I imagine that if you did straighten it they'd look a bit odd...
Cool photo nonetheless!
PS What's a poor camera?
Well, I guess no camera is a poor camera..if it can capture something..but it was not a dslr or anything eqaul to that! A Point and shoot of poor quality maybe is a better way to describe it..I didn't mean to slant the horizon..it was kinda one of those shots where I just point and shot because I didn't want to miss the moment..
I'm no expert but I think the horizon looks fine... ..."rules are there to be broken" and all that... ...I think it's a great pic!
Thanks Ryan. I've still too much to learn at my age.
