    Dredgers Three

Been scanning one or two old negatives just out of interest and to see whether the greater flexibility of PS can improve on the darkroom. This was taken in the port of Preston, long since converted into a Marina. For those of you that go back that far, taken with a 6x6 Minolta Autocord, on Ilford FP4 and almost certainly developed in Accutol. I think I am right in saying that the dockside by the Granary (top right) was used in the film "Titanic". For interest but comments very welcome

Very nice conversion, John...I like this one very much. It sort represents that time when smokes like these ones were still being ignored by the tree huggers and the climate changers. Time changed many things ... now we have regulations over here that will kill you more than live with it.

Thank you John, thank you Izzie and thank you Barbara. Izzie, it's not a conversion. It is a scan of an old fashioned film negative.

Thanks for the info, John...I only sort of seen this kind of colour on old images already not scanned. Interesting...

John, this is a wonderful image.

    Technically, superb.

It captures the feeling of an era long gone.

Personally, it reminds me of Salford docks and the Manchester Ship Canal.

    Thanks for sharing,

    Dave
