Lovely capture Dave!
Very nice indeed
It works well for me!
OK but there is quite a bit of rather dark bland foreground in the bottom left corner so I wonder about a slight crop from bottom and left?
I like the subtle colours going from the "deep blue sea" to the orange-yellow of a day ending with a great view.
I agree with Geoff and remember a landscape photographer saying something like this: if you do not have an interesting foreground object, leave it (the foreground).
Erwin
I'd leave the rocks in the foreground as it gives the viewer a means to formulate a way to get down to the beach below.
Nice shot.
A beautiful shot!
Thanks for your comments John, David, Kay, Mike, Geoff, Erwin, Alan and Barbara. I kept a fair amount of the rocks in the forground to give a leading line down to the beach but I will try the suggested crop.
Dave
Nice picture. I think the rocks lead your eye in to the picture and give some depth to the scene.
Thanks Paul.
Beautiful scene, Dave, I love the colours you have captured. I am inclined to agree with Geoff about the crop, though. I think taking just a little off the bottom and left brings the viewer more into the scene. The leading line is still there, but the viewer is brought closer to the edge of the precipice:
It's a lovely place and you have done it justice. Wish I was there.
Dave...I like the original one...what led my eyes to rocks, those little sticks add to the structure of the green grass that meet there, then the rocks led the eyes to the beach. Please leave the original alone...just a thought...but then I think differently than most.
Thanks Tony and Izzie.
Yes Tony it is a great place to visit, let's hope it stays in it's relatively natural state for a long time. No bridge !!
Izzie I guess the two crops just present a slightly different view each with their own pros and cons. I'm keeping both !!
Dave
Very nice shot Dave, I think I prefer Greg's crop but only slightly
Aah it takes me back. I was a clubby at Point Lookout SLSC way back in the late 60's early 70's and haven't been back over there since. This is looking north along Frenchman's beach if my memory serves me correctly.
I really like the image.
