The sky looks realistic, if this is your intended subject then no reason to adjust the rest of the photo.

Is the processing too much? That depends on what you were trying to achieve. The sky is a rich blue but I don't think it looks garish.

I was trying to achieve a picture with a little more punch than the original, specialy the cloud formation in the far distance.

I think the first one looks much better. The highlights and the streaks from the clouds are almost invisible in the original.
