another burl shot, another editing question

Here's another stacked shot from the same burl, edited two ways. I'd be interested in preferences. The first is done in Lightroom, with a very high saturation boost, a little vibrance, some clarity, basic tonal adjustments, and sharpening (moderate, at 1.0 pixel). The second takes that as a starting point in Viveza, adding a fair amount of structure and some additional saturation. I tend toward naturalistic processing, which this definitely is not, so am a little bit at sea. Is the second one overdone? Thanks for any thoughts. Suggestions that I go back to flowers and bugs won't be taken as an insult.

I prefer the first one better, Dan...I think you overcooked the structure a little bit in the second one...just a thought.
