A Sunday Afternoon In Yellowstone
It's been a little while since I've posted here. I'm just now getting my mojo back whatever that is.
I drove into Yellowstone NP for an afternoon and captured some wildlife. These are with a D700 and Bigmos. It's snowing in the Park today so the photo ops should be good this week.
Whutchu lookin' at?
Pronghorn.
Young bighorn.

Adult bighorn.
Big bison.

I like the first image best, Steve, but that's just me. I love that sage . . . and the lady lying in the middle of it. Wish I was there!
Thanks for sharing.

Re: A Sunday Afternoon In Yellowstone
Nice series, Steve. Their coats seem a bit scruffy, are they coming out of hibernation?

Very nice series with good eye contact in most of them. #1 would be my favourite with that tobacco chewing action and it's looking right at me.

Re: A Sunday Afternoon In Yellowstone
Thanks everyone! These animals don't hibernate so they move around a lot during the winter scrounging for food and watching for predators. Planning to go again this week now that the weather has cleared.

Re: A Sunday Afternoon In Yellowstone
You're capturing them as they are shedding their winter coats. They'll look allot better soon but they do look like they could use a shower and a shave.
Thanks for sharing, I can't wait til August when we can get back up ourselves!
