Trials and discards

Recent and not so recent visitors at the feeders. Some are taken
through the window which may be reason for slight blurriness.
Many trials for a few keepers.
I'm sure they could use some serious editing so please comment.

I think they are both lovely. Good feather detail!

They are both beautiful, Irene...If asked to choose I'd choose #2 because of the pose -- it is slightly better than #1 because of the eye, even if the other one has the catchlight to it too, just this one is much clearer.

P.S. Thank you for reminding me to clean my glass door where I saw that Jay yesterday...Darn! another job ...as if I don't have enough...

Both lovely captures and #1 just needs a bit of sharpening of the head and wing, cloning out the left and right twigs, and a crop from the right and it is even better. The plain background makes the forestry work quite simple.
#2 just needs a crop from the right to better balance, perhaps about three times the tail distance to the edge? About where the front branch starts to rise above the back branch.
