Sorry Izzie but it is interesting that branch growing out of a metal figure ... sorry first thing I noticed.
Nice series of the children except in #6 helpful girl standing where boy needs to step. Quite a common human trait I think.

I guess you are right, James...thanks for the idea...it was just a day in the zoo for that day and even that I did not expect to take a shot of photos but I came up with over 200 memories...

Thank you passing by and giving me a feedback. I really do appreciate it vvery much.

That moment is my favourite of all those children shots...maybe I should specialize in children shots....I find it fun especially if the kids are not looking and posing...

ABout the figure, I have not much choice at that place...I tried and tried and tried to get some more angles but that one is the only one that survived my starting to be critical view of things. One thing I now thought I should have done was shoot lower instead of going around that limited area trying to get a nicer shot...

(Note to self: technical is useful...)

I note you used a small aperture and shooting wide open might have blurred the background ... though if you were shooting from lower down you would need more depth of field than how you were. Perhap really you should go back at another time of day with the sun in a different position and try a different background? But is he worth the effort? you got the kids nicely

Thank you for your comment, John...as you have read, I wasn't wanting to go there in the first place. But I did took over 228 shots that day...and no, it is not worth going back just to take that shot in the same condition. The place is not open before sunrise and I am not sure I want to be in the same place all day just to wait to shoot it it after sundown either. I think, I got quite some good shots for that day, harsh sunlight or not...Look here...

Thank you for looking and commenting and the feedback. I truly appreciate it very much.

If only we all could do that. I was editing some wedding reception shots and found one with a vase of flowers aligned in the background that looked like they were growing out of her head. It was easy to clone but a humbling reminder of the power of observation. Don't be too hard on yourself, it happens to the pros more often than you would think.

I would love to see the throw away's of some pros like movie directors show their out-takes while rolling the credits, I think it's a lot of fun and could be the basis of a thread here were we show our worst bloopers. In hind site, a move to your left and a kneeling shot would have cleared the trees from behind the head of the statue and provided some interesting perspective. Always evident after taking the shot, I do this all too often. Thanks for sharing Izzie.

What a nice comment, Richard! Problem about the statue is that I tried to find an alternative angle without kneeling down because for one, I had the wrong lens as I really did not want to go out at the time...I just grabbed 'a' camera in haste before I shut the kitchen/garage door. In this shot, I have to go back a little bit more towards the water and another step backwards for a good angle, I should be in the middle of the pool . I gave up on him...and moved on.

But I was thankful in a way that I have got some nice-r shots in others despite the lack of right equipment. So as soon as I got home and seen my shots, the first thing I did was rearranged my backpack and put all the necessary cameras with lenses on them and some others things like lens cleaner and the like that I might use next trip. I tried to do a trip once a week to photograph or photograph something in my backyard for the week. Also ready are my two tripods just in case. This week is a bummer as I have to have one of my eyelid corrected so I had an operation last Tueday and still suffering for it...

Thank you for your feedback, kind comments and suggestion. I really do appreciate it very, very much.
