Wedding Music

On Saturday we went to a wedding - I remain in awe of the photographers who record such events. I don't like working under pressure, so was thankful that any images I took were only secondary to the main man. I ended up with 200 shots and not many of those were the happy couple......I meandered following my own themes which included, hats, shoes, flowers and this selection - wedding music. I'll post some others later of the other themes

I hope you enjoy. Any thoughts for improvement welcomed as is reassurance that I am not the only one to come back from a wedding without many photos of the bride and groom

I have never done a wedding myself, but these are beautiful! Being a musician, I can say that if it were MY wedding, these would be treasured shots for sure. Somehow you've captured the emotion behind the music... Well done! I wish there were fewer pictures of myself and my hubby and more shots like these in our wedding album!

I should had done this one for my son...but I had refused to be the main photographer as I just want to have fun at the time...I share Rita's thoughts here, very different...and effective. I love it...it is a good inspiration to take some shots that are not about the wedding couple themselves for a change...

Oh btw, all the shots are not only inspirational but also very nicely done.

Kris - copy-cat all you like, giving each other ideas and tips is one of the lovely functions of this forum.

I have just grouped all the photos and the titles are

Bride and groom
Wedding bouquets
Wedding hats
Wedding shoes
Wedding boys
Wedding entertainment
Wedding venue
Wedding photographers
Wedding reception
Wedding cake
And of course wedding music

I then ended up with one photo that I couldn't fit into any of these categories, so entitled it

Love is what it is all about



I didn't have any plan for photos when I went to the wedding, other than of course I was taking my camera, well you do to weddings don't you. I will now try and remember for the next wedding I go to that having some sort of plan is a good idea. For me this is to continue to take photos I like taking which for me is always the little things. And I'll leave the professionals to take photos of the bigger picture
