What a lovely photo and it will always bring a memory! If it stayed in the garden it would have been just a lovely photo!
Gorgeous photo! Great story!
Beautiful flower....tulips will always be beautiful no matter what...and with a lot of possibilities for photographing them at different angles. I love tulips but they never stay very long...and with this one above life's cut short, I guess you can only photograph it with the memory of your beloved kid naively responding to your question. I am sure there are others there...My flowers usually looks like that when the day is darker or late afternoon, but it opens up with the sun...next time, don't ask, just look...
What a nice memory your story brought me...I have something similar...but my story is for another day...
Nice picture. It reminds me that the daffodils and tulips in my front garden were planted by my two-year-old daughter. She is now 42.

Darn kids. You'd think they could read our minds by now...
On the other hand, you did what I would have too and viewed it as a "photo op".
Humorous story, nicely captured image. Good amount of texture displayed.
Aah but there's more to the story...as I was setting it up, my thoughts were on Manfred, Mike,Good amount of texture displayed
and John with their ongoing guidance about lighting...Thanks guys!
Beautifully captured. It wasn't meant to stay in the garden... But shared with us !

right & slightly behind flower with the other camera left & slightly in front.
PP involved stacking 6 flower images>making selection and filling background to match color at
base of flower, then applying HDR toning to bring out texture while heeding the highlights.
