    not sure what it is, but I think it is a very appealing image. Simple lines, very nice tonality, interesting color contrasts.

    It is a blossom that is about 12 inches long and will over time open into an entirely different looking flower. it is often called a 'Torch Lily Ginger.

    The background is a slightly modified bg found in Gimp.

    Possibly fractionally tight in the top left corner but otherwise excellent.
