Thanks Kaye! You know, I didn't even think about what order I put them in here... I like your sequence better! Thanks for the suggestion. (Is there a way I can change this now, or is it too late? Still figuring things out on this forum...) Next time we do these I want to follow a bubble from beginning to end... The pop might be kinda cool to capture!

Hmmm... I've never heard of a machine that could do that, but I've seen pictures of kids inside giant bubbles where they are standing in a small pool containing bubble solution and an adult is using a ring of some sort to draw a bubble up around the kid... A Google Images search like "kid inside giant bubble" yields some interesting results. I'd like to try it sometime!

Thanks, I will keep at it...your one is good enough to start with and the ones I had googled after reading your response sort of warns against wind and all that crap. There isn't much room in either the front and back garden of my DIL's so the park near the train station might be a good place. My mind is buzzing with ideas!!! Thank you. I better write my ideas down so I do not forget that I want to do that when I am there!!!

I would have to admit that I've never had the opportunity to try this recipe in a super muggy climate, but when I lived near Lake Michigan I had friends who had great success using a similar recipe. It was quite humid there. Here in eastern Washington it's rarely "humid" by most people's standards. We like to do these either early in the morning, or on a rainy day in between showers, as they seem to work best when the air is moist. Hot, sunny, dry days are no good at all. So, I'd say you'll be fine! There are several YouTube videos demonstrating the technique for making the bubbles, so you might want to check some out... It takes a bit of practice, but is totally worth it! Good luck, and let me know if you have any other questions... I'm happy to help if I can.

Yeah, large open areas are great... I don't think people would be super thrilled about these monsters popping on their cars/house windows/etc. We live on ten acres and the neighbors have a large field in front of us, so we are definitely spoiled! But, we've gone to parks, too, which is fun because others can enjoy seeing them. A little wind isn't always bad... It's kinda fun to see how long the bubbles can get... And then they just break apart into a bunch of smaller bubbles. A very light breeze is perfect, but if it's still you can just slowly walk backwards to create the bubble. Have fun!
