    Olivia

A portrait shot in the kitchen of Olivia my granddaughter, and a three part edit with some cloning PP to erase background clutter. The final edit is the close crop.

Nice effort, I like the warmth of the first image.

Very pretty girl...with stain of what she ate still in her face...made me smile. Of the different crops you did of her, I like the original one but without that hand on the right side. It is brighter and suits her face. The warmth of the lighting adds the interest there...And I like that door she is holding on to -- lots of texture there. What is that metal figure at the bottom left hand side near the log behind the door? That is interesting too. You've removed everything that I saw in your final image...

Thanks Izzie, all these poses were impromptu, so I went with what Olivia gave me except for the clutter removal (cloning) in the doorway. The figure bottom left is a sculpture, It took my fancy when I spotted it in a gallery. I'll post a photo of it when I get the chance. The close crop is my favourite even though I had to give up the door, it is in my mind a better portrait close cropped. Thanks for looking.

Nice work - such a sweet-looking kid! And I love the wood and wood structure in the trio of shots - they set her up so nicely. I like the tightest crop best of the three, but would prefer the second one if it weren't for the interfering foliage.

I too prefer crop 3#. Olivia is a little charmer very sweet but grandma has spoiled her. Very good work on your NG page, impressive landscapes. Thanks for visiting Mark and for your kind comments.

Beautiful granddaughter Richard. Nice cloning work in the 3rd image. The 3rd is my favorite; although that bush in front is bright, my eye still goes to your granddaughter first.

Thanks kim for you visit and comments. I prefer the last (close) crop, fewer competing elements. One of the negatives of shooting portraits in situ is the inevitable uninvited clutter.
