Re: Britannia Park at Dusk
Stu, It looks like Thursday was not a good day to get your expected target! I went out to shoot the orchard behind the Lincoln Field transit station only to find that the blooms were gone. Yet my apple tree was at its peak and so was my neighbor's crab apple tree. So I moved on to the Deschênes rapids lookout and shot some birds. I prefer to shoot landscape over birds because the birds always seem to move to fast for my skills.
Looking at your and my sunset photos, I really see Manfred's point about needing a good picture to start with. One other thing that I have notice with many sunset photos is that in order to get the "funky" colors the photos always look under exposed and too dark for my taste.
Thanks for your kind words,
Andre

Re: Britannia Park at Dusk
Manfred, I love that lighthouse photo.
I will take your challenge as it shows a path to better photos that make sense to me. I'll post the results.
Looking at Stu's photos above, I can see you point about the visual contribution of the far shore of the river. I hope you will continue to share you talent and expertise. One can read several books but nothing beats constructive feedback when it comes to learning a new skill.
