Just a Post Box

I spotted this Royal Mail post box whilst out for lunch on Sunday. Luckily the 350D was in the car boot so I wandered across from the pub car park and made this image.
The Red Blue and Green colour palette was what attracted me to it the splash of dandelion yellow just gives it that little bit extra. I suppose it's a bit of a post card shot really

Excellent eye, and very nicely processed. Interesting to see the commonplace and ordinary made to attract the artistic eye. Not enough of that in this hurried world.

What I find attractive about this picture is the placement of all the elements. The colors occupy distinct places in the frame, and thus separated from each other, whereas if they were all mixed together it would be more difficult to appreciate.

Sorry Izzie I maybe should have added some information about the Royal ciphers which adorn objects (and buildings) like this in the UK and elsewhere in this case GR relates to King George the Fifth.
