Nice shot. When a bird the size and shape of a Pelican has to scratch its chin, then it obviously needs to spread its wings out to balance itself!

Nicely done...your pelicans are brownish...the ones I shoot (with my camera) were all whites...hence it was hard yakka in the sun...
