I'm not familiar with the statue but, the foreground flowers are distracting.
Looks like the type you'd find in a cemetery, although it looks like a nude statue.. Does evoke sadness.
I feel the inclusion of leaves is the creative part of it...
I am very fond of some statues in general...this is nice.
Hi Jim I would crop the image from above the hands of the statue as the hands draw my attention a lot.I would also remove the green color cast on the statue. The face of the statue really looks sad.
Jim, I like this a lot no advice from me is necessary, you got it right.
Hi, Jim
I also like the leaves included- it rather gives the feeling of the viewer peering from a secluded spot into a moment of private angst. I think the color may not contribute to your overall achievement of pathos, however, and wonder if you've made a B&W
version?
Thanks all and I really appreciate the feedback on this image.
I knew when I posted it would most likely bring different opinions. I think that is what makes this sport so fun and keeps me carrying a camera.
Kevin we think alike. When I framed the shot that is what I was thinking.
Did give it a go in B&W, maybe will try again.
