it is one of the bigger blossoms I have seen in the cactus with beautiful soft colours.

When they open they are even cooler. But as often happens the rain came and changed everything.

I did sharpen things a bit. If you look at the cactus branch you will see a lot of white which is a wax like substance. The bloom is also quite waxy and soft. Additional sharpening didn't work for me.

It is a cactus for the simple reason that that is the type of plant it is.
