Thanks for your comments.I find insects fascinating and really enjoy macro photography.I've done a lot of stargazing over the years through telescopes and have turned my attention in the other direction.I've been shooting macros with a MR-14ex ringflash lately and am still working on the lighting.
Here's a shot from my earlier post.
I'm getting pretty harsh speculars although the colours and contrast look good.I need to come up with a diffuser, maybe some layers of tissue paper or some bubble wrap.
I haven't found any DIY stuff for this flash on the net.
