Brian, thanks so much. I just came on to post some edits here and saw your new post. Later I will go over the tutorial and play with it.
I have noticed that there has been a real improvement in your work

Here are a couple of edits I did today. As Chauncy suggested I have added a little extra space on the sides and I have calmed down the yellow and have added a touch of red. I think it is an improvement but I still have a ways to go.
1.
2.
3. And for those that suggested a black and white, this is what I came up with.
definitely coming together.
For me the flower
looks a bit overdone now, I prefer the softer look
Hi again Rita Because I don't know the effect you are trying to achieve I commented on the edits you made. But if you ask me I prefer your original edit converted to B&W, because it looks like a high key image as I said before.
Matt, I think I have gone from one extreme to the other. I am still going to play with this image and see if I can get a happy medium.
Binnur, appreciate the extra comment. It might have helped if I had said what I was aiming for wouldn't it I have been playing with flower images lately and I am attempting to get a fine art look to them.
OK...the more I look at this, the more I agree with Sailor Stu (I forgot his name, but his message is in #9)...the artistic effect is very nice. I am beginning to love it more as I look at it more...you've pushed the envelop on your pp trying to please everyone. I wish I have that much patience, Rita...
