A rescue dog story...
This is a story of a stray Maltese female whom we rescued from a local shelter. She had been running the streets of a local city and was a mass of flea and tick bites, sores and scabs. She was filthy, and, Oh Yes!, she was also pregnant.
We bathed her and got her ready to give birth...
She had two puppies the day after we brought her home...
The puppies arrived into a warm, clean, safe and loving environment... We were overjoyed to see that the pups looked like Maltese...
She was a proud Mom and her puppies were healthy...
With good food and a clean place to sleep, Sweetie began to look better. All that she needed was some T.L.C.
The puppies grew up healthy...
Brother and sister were good puppies...
But, occasionally Mom needed a break - especially after the puppies grew teeth...
Our Goldendoodle, Holly loved the puppies...
But eventually, it was time for the puppies to go to a new home...
So Sweetie was left alone...
She has has her forever home now - with us. We couldn't let this brave and darling girl go!

Kudos on the rescue and the photos. Such a nice story and so well documented. Sweetie should have a spot in the Forum Pet thread.

What a great story, and a great series. The shot of Sweetie climbing the enclosure is really special. Maybe you could offer it to the rescue organization: it would be priceless advertising!
Cheers,
Rick

I really wish you people would stop posting this sort of thing. It gets my wife going on the "Aw, we really ought to get a puppy..." thing!
#3 is a cracking shot though. Nice story. Disney script stuff.
