Part of the initial learning curve of photography involves learning what choices to make and how to make them. The same is true for all remaining parts of the learning curve, which lasts a lifetime.
My impression is that most mediocre to poor images aren't so because bad choices have been made. Instead, the issue is that few choices have even been considered. When I think of the people here at CiC whose work I admire the most, all of them have made many deliberate choices about every image they make. You and Binnur are known for being in that camp.
