I like the bluebell very much - the saturation is a little unnatural but it makes for stunning colours. I might be tempted to tone down the vignette, but that's personal preference.
For me, the first image has nice details, but a couple of issues - the flower in the centre of the frame is lacking sharpness and seems to have some fringing around the petals. I think I might be tempted to look at re-cropping it as well, as the bokehed (is that a word?) flower on the right edge is a little distracting.

I think ALL comments should, at the very least, should be listened to. The recipient then will decide to listen or pay attention to the said comments. So, new or seasoned photographer I take note of what you have said.
The Bluebell - is a Spanish Bluebell with no fragrance. I rather like strong colours! The vignette however is a newish concept for me so I'm still not sure which is good or too stro
Image 1. The flower, out of focus on the right may be a little distracting & the flower in the centre , I agree, is out of focus also. The subject is the flower 2 thirds to the top left. I'm trying to get good bokeh using a canon 70mm - 200mm lens at f4.5 - not soooo good... My original plan was to take images of a XCountry training session so the flowers were a bonus.
Thanks
Andy
Hi Andy, both very nice images
#1- I would reduce the saturation of the OOF flower next to the frame on the right a bit so that it wouldn't distract. I would also reduce the saturation of the dark pink part in the trio of the flowers for the same reson.Being OOF is not an issue for me because you have a sharp and focused flower as subject in the frame. I too noticed the fringing Simon mentioned already. I don't know the reason for it but I think you can fix it with PP.
#2- I would reduce the saturation of the green leaf on the left of the bluebell a bit so that it wouldn't distract. It seems to be competing with the bluebell .IMO a less strong vignette might look better.
I like your BGs
Very nicely presented.
Thank you Binnur, I know hot to reduce saturation but get rid of fringing is another matter!
I will have to research that...
