Doe Pronghorn
This doe pronghorn (female) probably traveled up to 150 miles form the high desert of southwest Wyoming to Grand Teton National Park this spring, part or her annual migration. Her sides bulge with babies, probably twins, and she will be giving birth very soon. The rough patch on her back, at the base of her neck, is a sore and a lack of hair from going under barbed wire fences during her migration. Pronghorn prefer to go under fences, not leap over them. Soon she will have her summer coat and be sleek and beautiful. Look at the size of her eyes. She can see danger from far away.

Re: Doe Pronghorn
Thank you for the info...I was feeling sorry for her because of her wounds but knowing she will be OK is a big sigh of relief...This is a nice clear shot and the fur molting tells the story of the shot...one day she will be beautiful again...nice hope.

Thank you Raymond and Izzie for your comments. I will look forward to seeing her with her babies later this summer.
