    Lupins and more

The light rain subsided so we headed to the field of lupins.
A large area, ( only a sliver shown here) that was once a tree farm is now a mass
of beautiful lupins in soft and deep colours intermingle
with daisies. Absolutely magical. I'm sure I've not done it justice.
Any suggestions as to composition etc. would be appreciated.

I did a little work on the field shot. First I added a sepia mask overlay to give the colors a bit more depth. The I made 3 copies (2 B&W 2 colour) to prepare a depth merge (in Gimp). It does not dramatically change anything but it (at least to my eyes) brings the lupin out a bit more?

I like this presentation...very colourful....Somewhat panoramic but not quite. Must be once a pretty place.
The daisy needs a little bit of brightening...I would have picked a few daisies and put it in a vase.

Love the way you processed the daisy.

Thank you all who commented. I appreciate your feedback.

Brian - Thank you, what you did turned out beautifully.
I must admit that's way above my head. Nonetheless it is going in the
    "How to" file.

Irene a month ago it was above my head too. The sepia layer (I use Gimp but other pp programs will allow the same thing) takes less than 5 minutes and a very few mouse clicks. Here is a link to the sepia toning page. it is just like cooking; follow the basic recipe until you get it down and then experiment.

Trust me if i can follow the directions anyone can. When in doubt just look at the pictures and try to match up your screen and the tutorial.

Thank you Brian. It seems easy enough. I will
    certainly give it a try.
