Hi Matt, I get a bit peeved with you - the way you can just "go for a walk" anf find all this magnificent scenery around you "
Seriously though, I do like the image, nice colours and I like the treatment of the water.
I wonder if you should crop a bit off the bottom so that only half of that foreground rock is in shot ? It seems a bit dominant to me.
Dave
Matt,
Must agree with Dave on your "walks" and the great landscapes you share with us. Keep them coming.
Hi Matt, another nice scene I agree with Dave about cropping the image from the bottom.
Thanks for the views/comments all.
Haha I have two spare guestrooms, you're welcome to visit and I'll give you a tour!
With regards to the image, I was reluctant to crop the rock at the bottom because I think it adds great depth and I didn't want to lose that.
However, I think the crop does work well:
Very nicely done image Matt, I like the lead in with the two rocks in the foreground, some have said to crop them, if I were to do that, I would come up on that centre stone (see that red area on the left side of it) maybe up halfway up that. Up too much and that will take away from that other stone and I really like it with the water flowing between the two. It appears to me to be brighter along the edges than the centre, it maybe because the bright greens are pulling my eyes away (I would not change them though), if I did anything it would be to decrease the oranges just a little, then darken down the edges some to pull my eyes into the falls itself.
I hate to see what you get when you are not so bored.
Cheers: Allan
I like it. I prefer the original tho I think maybe its a little warm or oversaturated? just a thought
Matt, I think it is stunning just way you posted it! Very beautiful.
But I like that rock -- it looks like several bales of hay at first glance, one on top of the other and it looks floating too...
