Your narrative makes me laugh and the birdie looks harrassed too having to find something to feed its young...I wonder if it had a fight with a cat?

Matt, yep just a touch rough - one very harrassed bird
Izzie, it was so busy trying to feed its young and it had been raining a lot, but the demands of the young do not let up just because its raining! I took this one then backed off and left it in 'peace'
