Rapeseed reflections at Cromarty.Untitled by Sharon Reid, on Flickr

I am not a fan of rapeseed oil flowers ...they give me hayfever....I caught this between sneezles.

Landscapes are not my 'thing' but i have just spent 10 days visiting my daughter ...and friends.... in the far north of scotland....

You might have to endure a few landscapes before I get back to 'normal'. xx

Nice capture Sharon, haven't seen a rapeseed field since coming home from Butlins as a kid

Really? They're all over the place here. It is THE crop.

Beautiful, Sharon! Maybe we can "endure" a few more landscapes.

I would have cropped off about half of the foreground, but a very ethereal image.

The yanks call the crop "canola". I wonder why

If this is the kind of shot we have to "endure" while you are away, I am willing to endure some more landscape from you...it is sooo beautifully composed. So simple that I think I will see this kind in front of me and take a shot? No waaaayyyyyyy....you have the eye for composition...I don't...

    Re: Rapeseed reflections at Cromarty.

Besides the fact that it's a very interesting shot, I notice that there are (and will assume it was intentional on your part) four almost equal layers in the image: the foreground mud, the water, the rolling hills/rapeseed and the sky. So much for the absurdity of the "Rules Of Thirds", all of which beg the question:
So where IS Sharon and what have you done with her?

[one teeny tiny suggestion; the water appears to tilt down on the left, perhaps a tetch rotation clockwise?]
