One from Sunday. The wind was a pain.

Nice and crisp picture of the butterfly, but to be honest, the first time I saw it I
had to look for the main subject.
The flowers are so colorful and bright that they catch the eye immediately.

I agree with Mats. It is a good capture. I would crop it to get rid of some of the flowers. The ones on the left are particularly distracting because they are in focus. What remains of them after cropping you could blur in postprocessing.

Title does help in finding subject, bit of chromatic aberration occurring around edges of flowers.

I think the butterfly is perfectly rendered, with its very subtle coloration. I, too, think that in this case some cropping would make it the immediate center of attention.

Am I right when I guess that the high-lights are pulled down rather much?
I sort of get that feeling.

Thanks all for the feedback and will try a crop as suggested.

Surprised no one noticed that he was missing one antennae.

    Re: Butterfly

I would selectively tone down the flowers before considering a crop. I suspect that would change the appearance.

Didn't want to talk so much about his disabilities.... He could be bullied by the other butterflies.

you seem to have through the pain I love the difference in focus and colour between the butterfly and the rest of the shot.

    Re: Butterfly

I like it Ziggy...the flower needs a bit more blurring if you do not like to crop them...
+1 to Mats comment...thanks for the smiles.
