    Bloody photo bombers

Sitting, minding my own business, taking a few photo's of the Tamar river yachts etc then to my left felt like someone was watching me.
Said G'Day as I thought was the polite thing to do then it rudely grabbed the lime light
Have to point out I was sitting on a floating pontoon about two inches above the water line, not swimming, it's Winter here

    Bloody photo bombers

    Bloody photo bombers

    Cheers, Greg

Very nice. Interesting to look at and compare both. Sharpness in the bird nicely done.

    Thanks for sharing

Hahahaha...that was a funny narrative...Greg, s/he wants her photo taken...aren't you glad it did not bite you instead? You are in its territory...beautiful shot though, got all the sharpness and all that. Too close...The first shot is also good. I love the reflection/shadow of the water on the side of the bigger boats.

    Thanks John, Tim and Izzie.
Izzie to be honest s/he startled me, wasn't expecting anything to be at my head height while I'm sitting at waterline. Reckon they are used to the rowers that use the pontoon giving them a bite or two to eat. Definitely a bonus shot for the day

Thanks Kris, Didn't have to time it, I kept backing off, thought I was going to wind up with a swan on my lap

That's gorgeous. Well done on having the presence of mind to adjust the settings to really nail that shot. Exposure and focus just on-the-button.

Yes, a bit of quick thinking has enabled the capture of two excellent but different scenes.

Thanks Brian, Geoff and Donald for the comments.
Regarding the on the button comment Donald, that's where I thought I was a bout to get it in this shot.
The swan had swum away a bit so I mimicked the noise it was making and it turned and came steaming back straight at me. Don't know what I said but it certainly got its attention.
The hardest part was trying to get a clean shot, as it was so close I had my shoes in the foreground of some shots and this particular photo I had to clone the mast of the yacht behind out.
All in all, good fun and a pleasant bonus.
    Regards, Greg
