Re: How to enjoy wine
You know how to draw a girl in to your thread with that title! (Like I need any advice on how to enjoy wine... ) I love this shot. Very creative and not something I would have ever thought to do. And it's fun to see what you look like after all these years.
Wonderful stuff, Mike!

Re: How to enjoy wine
Excellent, Mike!
It is nice to play now and again.
Just an afterthought. imho, it would have been nice to have added about 6" to the height of your tripod so the top of your head would have been inside the dumpster and the tabletop would have revealed more if its contents.
I hope you will print your image for you and Kathleen.

Re: How to enjoy wine
Thanks, Marie!
When Kathleen and I reviewed the image on the camera's LCD of the scene without either one of us in it, we felt that it might be better to raise the camera enough to reveal the top of the table. However, I set the camera low to emphasize the feeling that the viewer was also sitting in the dumpster. That characteristic would have been lessened the more I would have raised the camera, so I was unsure about whether a higher camera position would be better overall.
So, I took all of the photos at the current camera position thinking that we could try a second set later with it at a higher position. We realized later that we had forgotten to do that because we were tired (it had been a long day especially for Kathleen), because there was no tripod and raising the camera wasn't all that easy to do, and because Kathleen was getting bit quite a lot by the mosquitoes.

What great memories this photo will hold forever. Don't regret the lack of formal wear. The image is wonderful as it is.
