    A few Classics

Shot these at a local race track recently on a show and shine and drive day. Love these 50s to 70s cars.

Ford versus Chevy. Ford wins although it is a newer vehicle

I think they they are great. I particularly like number 2 and 5. In no to you have managed to get a really got sharp subject and the panning effect looks great. I love the look on the passengers face, it sums the whole ride and photo right up. Number 5 is just beautiful. The subject and the colour. Great composition and I love the reflections of the clouds as well.

Being an Aussie, I would have thought you'd prefer a Holden, Dave Ellis...

Anyway, I like #1 for the movement shot...#2 for mom being the driver (Who said women can't drive?) and with kids too??? And dad surrendering gracefully to Mom's driving? Bless this beast! The guy deserves a medal!

No Izzie, I've been a Ford Falcon man most of my driving life, but in recent years I've fallen for Honda.

They are all good images, but as a lesson in how to do panning well, the first two are superb, I think.

In my humble opinion you have posted a very enjoyable series of shots.

Number two is the one that caught my eye. It all works but what stands out to me is the people. Mom is watching where dad is going and the young one is hanging on to the hat. But the best part, dad is driving with one hand.

Thanks for the comment Jim but I have to point out that Dad's not driving, Mum is. The Fords in this series are LHD but the Chevs are both RHD. They're both original Australian delivered vehicles with the steering wheel on the right side. (Or should that be "correct side" )

Thanks also everyone else for the comments. I like panned shots and have had a bit of practice at it with cars and bikes.

Also for Izzie here's a couple of Holdens and in the background of #2 a Falcon for Dave.
By the way Dave this was at the Lakeside circuit near Petrie.

Was closed for a lot of years then the local council sold or maybe leased it to Qld Raceways (who own Willowbank) and it re opened for limited racing and days like this. And it's only 7 minutes from home for me.

Graham...Holdens are very hot to the boys-in-blue's eyes...always watching out for me when I am out...especially if it is red or yellow. 'Don't know why but it is always the case...those boys haven't caught me yet because I have a book that tells me where they are hiding and it is very accurate...Trust an Aussie to publish one...
