Nicely done, this vantage point puts the emphasis on the bridge and not the people in the background.

Tejal = while this is a nice shot of the bridge (I like the symmetrical approach you used), the people on the bridge really do not make a meaningful contribution to the image (nicely said, it really doesn't matter whether or not they are in the image, they place an insignificant role in your composition).

I do like when there are people in shots, as they tend to give the inanimate objects some life and give the some indication of size and scale of the object; but they need to have a significant role in the image. In this case, I suspect the image might have been a little better without the people in the shot.

Whether to include people in scenes like this is always a dilemma. They do add a touch of human interest which some people like to see. In which case, where do you place them? As an important part of the overall scene or well back in the distance?

But without people, or at least well back in the far distance, you get cleaner lines and the bridge would certainly appear much longer.

Probably the only answer is to make two shots; one with and one without, then try to decide between them.

I like the shot both with the people and I would have liked it without the people. There are times when we don't have a choice whether to include people or not in a shot because people are there and you probably could not find a time when there were no people on this bridge.

IMO, the people do not disturb me at all. In fact, I would also like to see a closer crop on the people to make a another image. So many of your images, besides being interesting in the whole, have the capability of also crop other smaller images out of them. I think you have a great eye for seeing imagery.

I am wondering if you look at things differently since you began shooting images? Or, did you always see the images, but were not in a position to capture them?

I would think that India might be one of the most interesting places in the world to shoot because of the juxtaposition or contrast between the modern (like this bridge) and the ancient as shown in your other images...

Thanks Manfred for your valuable feedback. I tried to get one shot without people, but it was very difficult. Though I have one having human element which is very far.

Yes, it was there in my mind to get a shot, without human element also, but as it is a bridge for public use, i didnt get opportunity to get it completely empty.

Closer shots, where human elements are close, i have many. As i do more street photography, I have most of the images where human elements are there. One such close one is here. Hope you will like it. . Please share your suggestion for my betterment on this.

I dont know about my eyes or my photography sense, but I like things which are natural. Since my childhood I am more interested in drawing, painting as well as craft. During my school days, my vacations i used to spend in making paintings or to make something best out of waste things laying at home, useless. I like your pictures. Giving me a look into the Indian life.

I've some question about that bridge. I was wondering where that reflection on the floor is coming from. It can only be water, but why? It's divided by strokes and it doesn't seem to be raining. It must be a long bridge with shadow and resting places.
