Kingfisher
Spotted this little bird this evening,looked over wall next to river an there he/she was,usually zoom away but he/she sat for a few moments........

Hi Bernard,
The little bird is a Male Kingfisher, the difference between the male and female can be seen in the beak, the female has some red on the bottom of her beak.

Beautiful shot Benjy...I am the same with Ziggy -- wish I have more colourful birdies in my backyard too...and I like #1 between the two of them because the second one has a bit of shine at the back that you did not processed well. The first one is a belter (to borrow your term...geez I like that term...)

Very nice Bernard, not an easy subject to capture - I normally only see a flash of blue going past at a great rate of knots !

Beautiful bird with lovely colors Bernard I especially like #1 as the exposure and the posture are better.
