My visit to a temple - C & C are welcome

During the month of March 2015, I visited one ancient Ambaji temple, dedicated to Mother Goddess, which is located at the city center. I have never been to this temple before. During my visit I have tried to capture some beautiful moments, which I am sharing here with you all.

At the entrance of the temple's main door :

Out side the temple, generally, one big sized mirror is placed, when the place is very crowded and people can not see the idol directly, they can see it in the mirror.

All these shots are depicting a part of your colourful culture, Tejal -- but you are not careful to look at your composition...the first shot is really very nice, but you should have cloned out the tip of the blouse of the woman in front of it. It also be two pictures in one but you will lose the essence of the shot...

In #2, there is a guy at the bottom lower side whose head you just cropped off. Why not take him off altogether? (or was that guy your brother you cannot do that to him? Just curious...) There is also a cardboard sign that does not belong to the shot there...#3 Faceless boy and guy next to him need to be removed from the shot...

I like #4 --- but the frame need to be straightened or is the angle of the frame intentional?

My attention was first caught by that other use, more peaceful, of the swastika as I'm used to see.
I must agree with Izziek.
That first picture has another shortcoming to me. It looks as if it are 2 pictures joined together with the hand against the join line. No overlapping at all.

Thanks Izzie . In street photography, no cloning is permitted generally, so I avoid to clone. But as you said, some times cloning enhance the effect of the shot.

in #1 image : That is a patch is a part of saree. The woman is wearing a saree, so purposely I have taken that patch in my frame. Though I will try to clone it. It may look better .

in #2 : actually due to my less height i couldnt get what was there in my mind. Place was crowded and there was continues over lapping of human elements. Here I didnt crop that head as I have tried to keep the whole mirror frame as it is.

in #4 : There was no proper place to get a good angle. Mirror was on height and some how i tried to catch that guy properly in the mirror, doing Pooja. Field situation was tough, that is what i can say .

Again, I like your work. I wonder, however, if a slight vignette might not be appropriate in image #1. I centered the vignette on the yellow flower.



After I did the vignette, I realized what actually was bothering me were the shoes image left upper. They kept, subconsciously drawing my attention away from the hand and flowers. I removed them with the spot healing brush tool of Photoshop CS6 but, left the vignette that I had added previously.

I tried to clone in a tip for the subject's middle finger, which is obscured by the table in the OOC image. IMO that might manage some overlap between the top and bottom segments of the image. I am afraid that my cloning effort did not work very well. But. I still think this would be a valid idea to eliminate the look of two images joined together. Perhaps someone with more cloning skill than I have could manage that.

OTOH, perhaps if I were not concentrating my attention on that finger, the somewhat crude cloning job would not be so evident...

Finally, I placed a simple white border around the image. There are lots of pros and cons about borders but, in this case I like it since there is so much gray in the image that it bleeds into the background on this site....

Is this a Buddhist or Hindu temple? I have seen the "swastika" emblem on Buddhist temples in Asia...
