Messing with the new 100mm Macro - said it was "good for portraits", practised on beautiful Lily





The reflection in her eyes is me.....so I'm not taking it out as I am never in any of my shots!!!!

Just great. She is a beauty. I prefer your black & white photos. I feel that the nice colours distract from

The last pic (colored version) should be enlarged/framed and matted and hanging on your wall!!
All of the photos are excellent it's just the color and those wonderful eyes with that expression make that shot POP!!

The colour ones are fine, but, for me, the B & Ws capture the character and 'soul' so much more. I'm no portraitist, but these give me enormous pleasure. Beautiful pics.

Thank you Donald, I too find that when I look at black and white everything is stripped down to essence of the subject. I love to work in B&W and find that every image I take I convert it to see if it looks better in mono (which to me invariably does).
