Building Inukshuks - Remic Rapids
Since 1986, a local sculpture has been building a series of Inukshuks, or balanced rock sculptures in the Ottawa River, near the Remic Rapids. He builds them around this time of year and then when the winter comes, the ice that forms in the winter knocks them over.
I happened to be in the area, just before sunset, last week and saw him at work. My idea was to try to photograph him in a way that he seemed to be part of the sculptures he was building, so my framing positioned him this way.
I tried one with "normal" lighting and the other was a strongly back-lit silhouette.

The first one is interesting but I feel that the second one is much stronger composition. I like the way you combined the silouette of the two structures with the man...

As per usual your compositions are impeccable. I especially like the black & white image with its strong blacks.
Cheers Ole
