Very nice - well done!
Nice set, I like what you've done.
Hey Mats!
Great shots and a very cool stage/lighting they had going on! I gotta say, I’m surprised the venue let you in with your gear. Over here they typically won’t!
Hope you enjoyed the show! As an Olde Rocker I have been a fan since their beginning. Must be for the guitar riffs because Rob Halford has always had a headache-producing penchant for singing anywhere from a quarter to 1/2 tone flat! Drives me nuts! I may be an Olde Rocker but I haven’t lost my pitch that bad (yet anyway)! Your visual tones, however, look great!
Shots look good at the ISO you needed. All well done!
Halford, for years, has taken the stage on a Harley!
I might also say that the smoke/fog that is always used to get the lights to have that defined “beam” look. Cool thing to notice if you are a shooter in a studio and need a beam/streak kind of look with your lighting. No matter if you are a Rocker or not, the stage shows the bigger acts have produced can always give us still shooters cool ideas on how we can use light in our studios!
Cool shots, Mats....night time and mixed lights are difficult to photograph and on stage too...good for you to nail these ones...
Thanks all.
The Sweden Rock Festival is very generous with the rules for cameras. It's free to bring any kind of camera even recording ones.
It was a great show. I have been a fan since I was 15 and that wasn't yesterday... Rob had hair then.
Standing in the middle of the crowd with a 300mm isn't that easy not to talk about getting a clear shot through the forest of hands in front of you. But I got som great shots on Richie aswell.
The D800 is ofcourse very good at high ISO so the 2000 ISO on some of these are not a big problem. They are only noise-reduced in camera. Theres more to do in PP.
