    Lonely Fisherman

Taken on Lake Ontario, on a misty morning with sky and lake merging. I chose mono as it seemed to capture the loneliness of his trip.

Nice shot Joe, I just wish the fisherman was to the left and up a bit. Just to make the composition that much sweeter.

Actually Joe, I've changed my mind again. I really like the big tree in the first one, sorry

I know what you mean. I would be hard pressed to crop it out. What I need to do is keep the composition but move the boat to the left... Had I waited for a few seconds before exposure it would have been better I think. Oh well.....

I like the first image as well Joe ad I hope you don't mind but I downloaded it and cloned out some of the foliage on the foreshore to give a little more room around the boat and shifted it slightly up and left as Matt suggested.
Will post the image with your permission if you like.
    Regards, Greg

I prefer the first composition, Joe...there is more to look at and analyze but I like that one better...moody...if you can brighten up the trunk of the tree to show a bit more texture, it will be perfect. Just my little opinion...

I have always wondered about fishing...why folks do it. Is that alone-time so necessary?

Aside from that, here's my version of "Lonely Fisherman"...Mini Competition #1713
