I think the "way out of shape" is a system glitch and it usually gets corrected by the moderators.

Welcome Doug Nice image. I would prefer the color of the clouds grey rather than blue but it is personal preference.

A bit of both, I think. It looks like the saturation has been cranked up and while it works for most of the shot, the lines in the road should not be the first thing I see.

Very attractive for the reasons already explained! My quibble is that the road leads my eye to the right and the brightest part of the sky pulls my eye to the left. Consider darkening that area of the sky just a bit so the result is that the brightest area of the sky is the other area more directly positioned above the road.

Thank you for the kind words Izzie. Strangely, we didn't get rained on. It looked like the bottom was going to fall out and when I saw the holes in the clouds, I grabbed the camera!
